ABOUT THE Care careers PROGRAM
The Care Careers Oklahoma Program Is Funded Through An ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) Grant, Established As Part Of The Federal ARPA Legislation.
The goal of the grant is to provide support and resources to various sectors within Oklahoma to aid in the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and promote economic stability.
In the context of workforce development, the ARPA grant is funding this program named Care Careers Oklahoma. The program offers free Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medication Aide (CMA) and Developmentally Disabled Direct Care Aide (DDCA) training to Oklahoma residents working in long-term care facilities. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of care provided in these facilities and provide employment opportunities to individuals interested in the field. The grant covers the costs of training classes and testing fees for eligible individuals. All funding will go to long-term care facilities in Oklahoma based on reimbursement for these expenses
To enroll individual in the program, facilities should follow these steps:
Understand the Guidelines.
Facilities need to take the time to study the MOU, as well as the Reimbursement forms and processes (click on the Helpful Documents button above). Due to federal and state oversight, all procedures must be followed, and required documentation submitted. Read the materials as well as the linked documents, and feel free to email or call with questions.
All facilities that choose to participate must have a completed MOU on file with CareCareers. This agreement establishes the terms and conditions of the facility’s involvement in the program.
All reimbursements for training must be paid to facilities, but they are tied to a particular participant. If participants came into the program through CareCareers recruitment efforts, they are most likely already listed in our database. If the facility recruited and hired the participant, their information should be entered via the Enrollment Form by the facility. Whichever way participants entered into the program, they must have a record in our database before any reimbursement for training can be considered.
Training & Testing
The CareCareers program allows reimbursement to facilities for both training and testing. There are certain allowances and requirements for both training and testing, but they should always be considered and submitted as two separate items, not a single bundled fee.
The form for submitting reimbursements is a two-page document. The cover page and the form itself must BOTH be submitted each time.
Reimbursement Processing
Care Careers Oklahoma will process the reimbursement within a specified timeframe, usually within 30-45 days, after receiving an acceptable, completed, reimbursement from and all required documentation from the facility.
